Mental Health Clinician School-Based Youth Program
Penns Grove High School

7A-3:30P
Salary range: $47k-$50k plus full benefits
Provides for the direct care and management of students in a School Based Youth Services Program.
Responsibilities
The Mental Health Counselor is responsible for providing individual and group counseling to students and their families. This position will also provide information to, and help maintain connections to already exiting school and community resources. The Mental Health Counselor will work closely with the Nurse Practitioner performing follow up on the students under care and will provide information about STD's, pregnancy, healthy relationships, and arrange for HIV testing and other related services. This position will assist in the facilitation and delivery of services to pregnant and parenting teens. The Mental Health counselor will also collaborate with mentoring programs to deliver additional services to the population of Penns Grove High School. This position will also coordinate academic support services. This is a full time twelve (12) month position. Anticipated daily schedule 7:00 AM-3:30 PM.

Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or similar field.
- Must have experience providing counseling and supervision to adolescents.
- MSW (preferred), or MS, MA in a related field (e.g., counseling, psychology, etc.).
- Experience counseling and supervising youth and adolescents.
- This position requires the ability to develop and implement health related programs and services for adolescents.
- The ability to manage multiple projects is essential.
- Schedule flexibility is a must, some weekend and evening hours are required.
- Candidate must have the ability to work as an individual and as part of a team.
