Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the physician; the Physician's Assistant provides direct medical care to the patient, instruction to nursing staff and unlicensed personnel and education to the patient.

Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the physician; the Physician's Assistant provides direct medical care to the patient, instruction to nursing staff and unlicensed personnel and education to the patient.
- Obtains, evaluates and records medical histories.
- Performs physical examinations.
- Orders necessary testing for routine and acute health care evaluations.
- Collects specimens, when necessary, for pathologic examinations.
- Analyzes and interprets data, formulates problem lists and establishes appropriate plans for management of clinical problems.
- Initiates necessary consults to specialists and other health care professionals.
- Counsels and educates patients on health related matters.
- Provide management for acute and chronic illnesses.
- Prescribes necessary medications, as authorized by law.
- Provides consultative services to the Health Services Administrator and designees on patient health related issues.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must possess a Master's Degree from an accredited school.
- Must be a graduate of an accredited physician assistant program.
- Must meet all state requirements as they pertain to a physician's assistant.
