In coordination with the physician, the Nurse Practitioner is responsible for providing medical services which are consistent with community standards of care. Reach out and learn more about our story. This position is Part-time; up to 10 hours per week.

Responsibilities

  • Providing psychiatric Evaluations to patients.
  • Conducts routine pharmacological management and evaluation.
  • Collaboration and consultation with Psychiatrists consistent with Center for Family Guidance, PC practice standards and Collaborative Agreements.
  • Orders and interprets diagnostic tests.
  • Writes orders for medical medications and treatments, under guidelines of licensure.
  • Dictates discharge summaries and transfer orders.
  • Participates in Case management, as scheduled.
  • Maintains and follows patient care protocols.
  • Works with members of the healthcare team in educating the patients of their medical care.
  • Participation in designated hospital committee meetings and in-services (as needed).
  • Serves as expert nurse consultant and educator for CFG and its client.
  • Provide coverage for 12 Weekends (5pm, Friday through 8am, Mon) per year for On-Call Coverage to one of CFG's Contracted Hospital Systems providing inpatient/consult service coverage.
  • Provide coverage for 2 holidays per year as observed by Employer (New Years Day, Memorial Day, 4 th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day) at one of CFG's contracted Hospital Systems.
  • Completes all necessary paperwork and documentation as determined by the facility in which the APN is providing services.
  • Continually updates clinical knowledge and skills through consultation, formal and informal education and review of literature for the benefit of themselves as well as for the healthcare team.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • A current CPR/BLS card with demonstrated and cognitive skills is required.
  • Must possess a Master's Degree and must have current and valid Nurse Practitioner or Advanced Practice Nurse license.
  • At least one year experience of providing direct patient care.
  • Must have prescriptive authority.
