The site physician is responsible for clinical matters, fostering collaboration with medical providers outside the system. Your expertise will extend to providing valuable "on-call" services, reinforcing our commitment to comprehensive and responsive patient care.

  • Conduct timely examinations of patients, oversee on-site chronic clinics, and coordinate care with community medical providers.
  • Act as primary care physician, supervising professional and paraprofessional staff.
  • Provide on-site emergency treatment and respond to urgent situations.
  • Maintain CPR certification and uphold security regulations.
  • Notify the Administrator of coverage changes and facilitate medical service coverage.
  • Chair the Medical Audit Committee and approve clinical protocols.
  • Lead the on-site quality assurance program, including infection control and inmate complaint resolution.
  • Represent the health care program in discussions with civic groups and officials.
  • Oversees non-formulary medication utilization at the facility.
  • Addresses administrative/medical issues and assist in provider evaluations.


  • Must possess a degree in medicine (M.D./D.O.) from an accredited medical school.
  • M ust be licensed to perform medicine and must be CDS certified.
  • Experience working with youth in a correctional facility is a plus.
